The upper combines breathable mesh and synthetic inserts, creating a light yet durable structure, with a multilayer construction typical of Y2K technical sneakers. The midsole integrates U4icX technology, designed to offer soft cushioning and energy return, while maintaining a low weight. The full-length rubber outsole ensures grip and durability for everyday use.

Compared to Mizuno's top-of-the-range models, the MXR are technically simpler, but maintain a good balance between comfort, aesthetics and price.
